“We’re proud to exhibit these works by Rebecca Koury in our Henry Miller Gallery,” said Peter Mullin, owner of COAST Big Sur. “One of the primary missions of COAST Big Sur has always been to shine a light on Central California art and artists, and Rebecca Koury is one of the finest artists currently working in our region.”

Koury has been painting for over three decades, seeking to interpret her experience of nature and express the feeling of this experience through paint and other visual media. Her work has appeared in collections, commissions and exhibitions around the globe and has been mentioned in publications including the Wall Street Journal and The Californian.

In addition to the new exhibit, COAST Big Sur features an iconic exterior design comprised of three enormous water tanks fashioned with 2,000-year-old redwood slabs, a wide selection of fine art, unique tabletop gifts and an elevated casual café with a stunning view of the California coastline from an expansive rooftop terrace. The picnic-inspired menu includes a selection of savory soups; snacks; dips and fresh-baked breads and pastries; local beers and wines; and freshly brewed Verve Coffee. Head Chef Nick Balla brings his expertise and signature style to the project, having previously served at several award-winning San Francisco restaurants including Bar Tartine, Duna and Smokebread. Other prominent artists whose works have displayed and sold at COAST Big Sur include highlights such as acclaimed sculptor Loet Vanderveen and contemporary painter David Blakemore.
