Try a vacation rental in Cambria

vacation rentals in cambria

If you haven’t thought about staying at a vacation rental, perhaps you should. Vacation rentals are usually homes or condos often in neighborhoods. Cambria management companies offer a wide variety of rentals, some directly on the water, some nestled in the pines and some in town. Depending on how you plan your trip any choice can work well for individuals, couples, and families.

There are several positive aspects to staying in one as opposed to a motel or hotel. “For one, you won’t be awakened early by housekeeping on a day you want to sleep in,” said Heidi Huff of Cambria Vacation Rentals. And Valerie Burres of Scenic Coast Property Management thought of another. “Renting a vacation home is great for families as it is more economical than renting several motel rooms.”

Another reason people prefer vacation rentals is the space and amenities that come with the property such as a full kitchen to prepare some meals and keep costs of eating out down, living room with comfortable decor and TV, fireplace, washer and dryer, free Wi-Fi, supplied linens, BBQ grill, full bathroom with walk-in showers, dining room table for family meals, and some with hot tubs or even a free bottle of local wine. You will find places offering from two to four bedrooms with Kings and Queens and bunk beds affording sleeping space for families and friends. Many are also dog-friendly.

As you work with the management company of your choice you can learn the best way to choose a vacation rental. Consider your needs. Huff suggests you ask yourself these questions, “Do they want to be in the quiet pine trees and walk to the ocean or do they need to be close to the ocean.”

Seniors often have trouble with stairs so choosing a one-level home is wise and walk-in showers are also helpful. Families with children might look for homes that are safe, close to the beach or playground. Couples may desire that romantic spot. Breen Vacation Rentals asks, “Do you want the splendor of the coastal view? Then picking a place on a hillside or marine terrace may be right for you.” Access to the beach comes with homes right on the ocean. Don’t turn up your nose on staying in downtown. There you have walking access to restaurants, clubs, and shops and in Cambria everywhere is close to the beach.

Renting a home in a neighborhood means you will be staying with area locals so behaving just like you would in your home neighborhood is important. You can expect to receive all the amenities listed for the home of your choice and reserving one is easy using the management company’s website and checking out the photos and information and be sure to read reviews. Rental agents will also help you with guidance to outdoor activities available, shopping, the best surfing and kayaking places, art galleries, restaurants for fine dining, playgrounds for children, banking, post office, and more.

There are different rental situations based on numbers of people in different locations and you should discuss this with your rental agent. Fees for rentals vary depending on your choice but usually include the rental fee, occupancy tax, cleaning fee, processing fee and pet fee if applicable. Also check out the cancellation policy.
